What M&E do?
Monitoring and Evaluation has two main functions:
- - to assure the Lord Chief Justice that magistrate and legal adviser training is efficient and effective, and
- - to help the providers on that training to provide the best training available by helping them to improve all aspects of magistrate and legal adviser training.
The way we do that is by:
- - gathering information about the costs and resources used in training
- - helping training providers such as justices' clerks, legal advisers and the JSB to critically assess how they carry out, and how they can continually improve, all aspects of training
- - supporting those providers in that continual improvement process
- - helping providers and stakeholders to understand how training impacts the work of magistrates and legal advisers.
