Please note that the Civil Bench Book has not been updated since August 2006 and you should therefore approach its contents with care.

The contents of the Civil Bench Book, reproduced below, were completely revised and replaced in August 2006. A subsequent small update, dated November 2006, consisted simply of an updated Chapter 3 (Case management) - also available as a pdf below - and allowed for the incorporation of references to a number of recent cases, including BSW Ltd v Balltec Ltd (2006) and The Bolton Pharmaceuticals Company 100 Ltd v Doncaster Pharmaceuticals Group Ltd (2006).
